WOMEN'S SUPPORT PROJECT
Providing financial support for women's income-generating activities
The association "Love & Power of the Purotin" in Togo is dedicated to fostering sustainable livelihoods by supporting Income-Generating Activities (IGAs), with a strategic focus on vulnerable women and young girls.
Our approach to economic empowerment is built upon three fundamental pillars designed to ensure long-term financial independence:
Financial Investment and Seed Capital
The association has established a revolving fund to provide the necessary capital for women to launch or consolidate micro-enterprises. These investments primarily support:Retail Trade: Small-scale commerce and local market ventures.
Agro-processing: The transformation of local agricultural products, such as soy and cassava.
Artisanship: Supporting traditional and contemporary craft-based businesses.
Capacity Building and Vocational Training
To guarantee the sustainability of these ventures, our support extends beyond financial aid to include comprehensive mentorship:Simplified Management: Training in basic accounting and household budget management.
Processing Techniques: Education on preservation methods and value-added processing to maximize the potential of local produce.
Technical and Material Support
Where appropriate, we provide "in-kind" assistance through professional equipment and start-up kits:Operational Tools: Distribution of essential kits, including improved cookstoves, basins, seeds, or specialized processing equipment.
Professional Integration: Providing sewing machines and hairdressing kits to young women who have completed their vocational training.2026 Milestone and Outlook
Driving Economic Change: $2,500 Disbursed to Empower Women
In April 2026, we successfully funded a total of 30 individual projects, with grants ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 CFA Francs (approximately 50 to 100 USD). For these women, this support is a profound source of hope and empowerment. Our objective for the remainder of the year is ambitious: we aim to support up to 500 projects led by women and young girls by the end of 2026.
